A Historic Achievement

America's First South Asian Shopping Center

Among JGroup’s most significant achievements is the development of Kundan Mall by Shudh Parkash Singh — the first South Asian ethnic shopping center in America. Located in Hicksville, Long Island, the mall opened in 2009 and quickly became a cultural and commercial institution for the South Asian community throughout the New York metropolitan area.

Home to a diverse mix of South Asian restaurants, fashion retailers, jewelry stores, and professional services — Kundan Mall earned national media recognition from Newsday, Stardust Magazine, Radio Zindagi, and JusPunjabi. It remains one of the most recognized South Asian retail destinations in the United States and continues to serve thousands of visitors across the New York community.

This affiliation reflects JGroup's longstanding expertise in hotel investment and hospitality asset management — and represents one of the largest South Asian-led hotel portfolios in the United States.
